Can I send suitcases?

Of course! You can send suitcases, but you have to bear in mind that neither Packlink nor the transportation companies are governed by the regulations that apply to passenger transport companies. Handling, transport and storage, as well as compensation for damages/losses or delays, are managed according to the Packlink service conditions which are adjusted to the regulations governing the transport contract.

EXCEPTIONS. UPS does not accept suitcases for transport, so we recommend that you select another service.

Remember that suitcases and luggage should always go inside a box and it is very important to weigh and measure them accurately. How to Measure Your Suitcase

If the suitcase or luggage is not properly packed the insurance will not cover the damage.

Packaging option 1 (not covered by insurance): Plastic wrap

  •  Place a copy of the collection note inside the suitcase.
  •  Put a second copy of the collection note on the outer part of the suitcase.
  • Place the luggage vertically.
  • Attach the film to the handle of the suitcase so that it is fixed in place.
  • Wrap the suitcase with several generous layers of plastic wrap.
  • Seal the plastic wrap with tape.
  •  Place a third copy of the collection note in a transparent bag and attach it to the plastic wrap

Packing option 2: box or cardboard, covered by insurance

  •  Place a copy of the collection note inside the suitcase.
  •  Put a second copy of the collection note on the outer part of the suitcase.
  • Place the suitcase into a double wall cardboard box
  • We do not recommend that you reuse a box, as in this case it would not be covered by insurance. But if you decide to do so, please remove any other label on the box or addresses that are not related to your shipment
  • .
  • Wrap the case in bubble wrap and use bubble wrap or foam to fill all the spaces between the case and the edge of the box.
  • Seal the box
  • Place a third copy of the collection note in a transparent bag and attach it to the box

We recommend that you always consult the conditions of service of the transport company chosen and our List of Prohibited Items before sending your suitcase to ensure that you have not included: enamels, deodorants, sprays, gels, flammable products, etc).

Have a good trip!
