EXAMPLES OF FREE INSURANCE COMPENSATION FOR INTERNATIONAL ROAD SHIPMENTS

EXAMPLE 1. LOSS AT THE INTERNATIONAL DESTINATION DURING ROAD TRANSPORT

My shipment has not arrived at its destination. I sent 1 package/strong> that weighed 5 kg. It was collected in Madrid and was destined for the United Kingdom.

The compensation you would be due is as follows:

Transportation Charge Credit. It’s the price that you’ve paid for the shipment. Other concepts aren’t included. For example: Priority Service.

Compensation for Goods. We’ll multiply the 5 kg by €10

TOTAL: €50

Compensation = Transportation Charge Credit + Compensation for Goods

 

EXAMPLE 2. PARTIAL LOSS AT THE INTERNATIONAL DESTINATION DURING ROAD TRANSPORT

One or more packages haven’t arrived at the destination. My shipment included 5 packages and 2 of them haven’t arrived at the destination. The packages that haven’t arrived weighed 25 kg and 10 kg. It was collected in Valencia and was destined for Germany.

The compensation you would be due is as follows:

Partial Transportation Charge Credit. A proportionate amount of the price you’ve paid for the shipment. We’ll divide the service fee by the number of packages sent. Other concepts aren’t included. For example:  Priority Service.

Compensation for Goods. We’ll multiply 25 kg by €10 and 10 kg by €10

My package weighing 25 kg: €250

My package weighing 10 kg: €100

TOTAL: €350

Compensation = Transportation Charge Credit + Compensation for Goods

 

EXAMPLE 3. THEFT AT THE INTERNATIONAL DESTINATION DURING ROAD TRANSPORT

The driver who was transporting my shipment was robbed. I sent 1 package that weighed 15 kg. It was collected in Salamanca and was destined for France.

The compensation you would be due is as follows:

Transportation Charge Credit. It’s the price that you’ve paid for the shipment. Other concepts aren’t included. For example: Priority Service.

Compensation for Goods. We’ll multiply the 15 kg by €10

TOTAL: €150

Compensation = Transportation Charge Credit + Compensation for Goods

 

EXAMPLE 4. DAMAGE AT THE INTERNATIONAL DESTINATION DURING ROAD TRANSPORT

My shipment was damaged during transit. I sent 4 packages and 2 of them have been damaged. The 2 damaged packages weighed 3 kg and 7 kg respectively. My shipment was collected in La Coruña and it was destined for Italy.

In addition to all the documentation that we’ll request from you, we may also need a Repair Estimate to process the claim.

The compensation you would be due is as follows:

Compensation for Goods. We’ll multiply the 4 kg that you haven’t received by €10.
