As a result, there may be extra charges in the following cases:
- Difference in weight or measurements.

- For shipments using the Chrono Classic service, the surcharge will be £20 + VAT, and for the Chrono Express service, £45 + VAT.
- Management fee: additional costs associated with processing and managing specific shipping options.
- Rerouting: delivery to an address different to the one provided in the original order.
- The number of collection and/or delivery attempts has been exceeded.
- Storage costs for a withheld parcel.
- Customs fees not paid by the recipient.
- Abandonment or destruction of a parcel.
-
Irregular goods: those that require special handling (AHS) and, in addition to being non-conveyable, also require extra control during the classification process, including, but not limited to, the following cases:
- Parcels exceeding weight and/or dimensions indicated by the carrier.
- Parcels including liquids and with insufficient packaging.
- Palletised goods for services that do not offer this option.
- Parcels that are round, cylindrical or whose packaging is non-compliant, including, without limitation, tubes, cans, buckets, barrels, tires, drums, pails and others.

- Non-stackable (SNS - Non-stackable) or non-conveyable (SNC - Non-conveyable).
- Hazardous goods, ADR.
-
Unauthorized charge (dimensions) - AHU: it applies when an item is extremely long or bulky and requires additional handling, either manually or with special machinery, or if it meets any of the following conditions:
- Any item under 30 kg exceeding 274 cm in length.
- Any item under 30 kg whose combined length and girth exceed 420 cm.
How to identify the shipment associated with an additional charge?
Log in to your Packlink PRO account and go to Settings > Billing > Transactions. Once there, find the date and amount that match the charge you've received. If you don't find a matching amount, expand the search by clicking Date range and selecting a wider period.
Once you've located the charge, click the corresponding link in the Transaction ID column. You'll be automatically redirected to the shipment related to the charge. Click See details to access the shipment's post-sales page and consult all details.
Important
- Packlink PRO will automatically charge additional fees using the same payment method you selected when you finalised your order.
- In the event of a discrepancy between the declared weight or measurements by the user and those verified by the carrier, Packlink PRO may charge a handling fee, in addition to the corresponding shipping charges (minimum £ 1,30). The surcharge (extra payment) will be 20% of the rate charged for weight or volume mismatch. Example: you declare a weight of 5 kg, while the carrier detects 8 kg.
