Label

Once you have finalised your order, you will receive the shipping label via email for download:

  • For Home to Home services is optional. Royal Mail will bring the shipping label to your door. However, the format is set and the option to print is available. 
     
  • For Drop-Off to Home services is mandatory. Print it and don’t cover the barcode part with sellotape to ensure the label can be scanned correctly.

Delivery and collection times

  • The service does not include any telephone notification before collection or delivery. It is at the discretion of the driver.
  • Delivery times: throughout the day.
  • Drop-off: you can bring the goods to a local Post Office or Royal Mail Customer Service Points during their office hours on the date that best suits you. Find the nearest location. 
    • Even if your Local Post Office or Royal Mail Customer Service Points are open on Saturdays, please note that the goods will not begin transit until Monday.
  • Collection:
    • During the price enquiry, you’ll see the first available collection date, but this doesn’t mean that you can’t choose a later date.
    • The collection service is available from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00, excluding bank holidays. Remember that, although it may not be a holiday in your local town/city if the branch in charge of the collection is not operating because of a holiday in the local city/county, the collection will not be able to take place.
    • Leave a note or post-it on the telephone or intercom if the addressee's surname is not visible, does not match, or if the doorbell does not work.
  • Home delivery: in the event of a failure or impossibility of delivery, the parcel can be delivered to an agreed point or a neighbour's home.

Important

On certain occasions, due to logistical, operational and climatological reasons, as well as others unrelated to Packlink, it isn’t possible to collect or deliver on the estimated day.

Conditions

  • If no one is home, the transportation company will try to leave an attempted delivery note at the recipient’s address whenever possible. Alternatively, the shipment may be dropped off at a specific location.
  • The return to the place of origin isn’t included in any of the services, whatever the reason for the return may be (absence, incorrect address, rejection, etc.).
  • The times are estimated except for the services with guaranteed delivery, so the user will not have the right to a shipment refund in case of a delay arising from the transport.
  • The deadline to submit a cancellation request  is seven (7) days from the date the order was paid.

Proof of delivery

  • The Royal Mail International Tracked service includes online delivery confirmation. However, no signature will be captured.
  • Upon delivery, a signature is taken. Nevertheless, it's not available through the online web tracking. The person who bought the shipment should reach out Packlink PRO customer service team to request the delivery signature.
  • Provided that it’s not a certified delivery, a third party, who is not necessarily the recipient of the shipment, may receive it.

Coverage

Standard protection

  • All Royal Mail Domestic services include a maximum compensation cover up to £75.
  • All Royal Mail International services include a maximum compensation cover up to £50.

Extra protection 

It’s possible to purchase extra protection of up to €5,000. Or up to £5,000 for customers where the shipment(s) originated from the UK.

In any case, the coverage will be effective for all contracted services provided that the transported goods are not among those in the List of Prohibited and non-compensation items, nor does it apply to damage caused by insufficient packaging, in which case, at the time of contracting, the user accepts that they are transported without any extra protection coverage.
